Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50 (a) and (b) the following act is prohibited on roads as described
in this order, all within the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
1. Using a motor vehicle on any road. 36 CFR 261.54 (a)

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e) the following persons are exempt from this order:

  1. Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this Order.
  2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting
    force in the performance of an official duty.

South Fork Spread Creek Road 30100 from its junction of Flagstaff Road 30160 to Leidy Lake.
The roads described above are located within the proclaimed and administrative boundaries of the
Blackrock Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Teton County, Wyoming.

16th annual National Police Canine Association

The Teton County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the 16th annual National Police Canine Association seminar and certification here in Jackson Hole this week.   We have a record attendance this year of 55 K9 teams.  The participating teams are federal, state, county, and municipal agencies from Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming.   The K-9 teams are training in tracking, criminal apprehension, explosives detection, and drug detection.DSC003162

Request for Proposal


The Teton County Sheriff requests proposals for helicopter service for the purpose of Search and Rescue training and operations.

A sealed original proposal must be received by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, Attention Lieutenant Slade Ross, 180 S. King St., P.O. Box 1885, Jackson, Wyoming 83001, on or before 4:00 P.M., MDT, Monday, October 10, 2016.  Proposals will be publicly opened at 9:00 A.M., MDT, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, and read aloud in the Teton County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue, 300 South Batch Plant Road, Teton County, Wyoming.

Proposals will be valid for a period of forty-five (45) days after opening.  It is understood that Teton County may reject any and all Proposals, make any substitutions and waive any formalities and technicalities as determined to be in the best interests of Teton County.  It is also understood that the agreement between Teton County and the proposer is subject to approval of the notice of award of the proposal and final agreement and appropriation by the Board of County Commissioners.
