The Teton County Sheriff’s Office realizes that in order for our community to receive the benefits of having a full service sheriff’s office, we must endeavor to provide outreach programs the community will support through their involvement.   To that end, we are committed to providing meaningful classes, presentations etc., that will help ensure our involvement with the community, but more importantly, their involvement with us.

Members of the Teton County Sheriff's Office and Jackson Police Department recently participated in a fundraising event to benefit childhood cancer research.  The event, St Baldrick's, was held on March 18th at the Teton Barber Shop. Individuals volunteer to have their heads shaved in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research.  Twenty two of the 58 men and women who shaved their heads were members of the JPD or TCSO team.  To date over $30,000 has been raised from the Jackson event.

Jackson Police Officer Katherine Peterson put her artistict ability to work and created a TCSO and JPD  patch with stained glass.  Peterson sold raffle tickets for both stained glass patches and held a drawing for the stained glass at the event.  Over $1,000 was raised from the raffles.
