Town Parades

Most people like to consider Jackson Hole as one of the last vestiges of the old west.  The Teton County Sheriff’s Office seizes opportunities to participate in the events that showcases some of this folklore.  One such event is considered the springboard to summer, and that is the Old West Day’s Parade.  In the background of the photograph you will see Sheriff Jim Whalen (left) and Captain Scott Terry astride noble steeds, prior to them riding in the parade.  In the foreground are Bobbie Whalen and Pam Terry (wives).  It’s easy to see why they were placed in the foreground instead of the other two.

Even though the TCSO prides itself on  being a progressive, full service law enforcement agency, it (still) loves to participate in the many community events that depict community enrichment and togetherness.  From July 4th festivities to the Cutter Races in February, the TCSO is involved.
